Times Square - 42 Street

Kathleen Mock, who was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, has been playing up and down the Broadway Line for 10 years. She is one of the few subway artists who perform original material to an audience who knows her songs and requests them by name. Kathleen writes and performs with a passion and energy that spark seemingly contradictory impulses in her audiences: She makes you want to move, yet stand still and listen at the same time. Need proof? (You must be from New York.) Then check out Kathleen's introspective lyrics and masterful guitar playing on "When I Think Too Much."
Her commanding voice, with its sweet, yet slightly-edgy, mixture of folk and blues, has mesmerized many a platform listener and won her a devoted following. Kathleen has independently released one solo album and performs regularly at many of New Yorks top rock and folk clubs.
